|Concealed Carry Permit
Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-3:00
First and Last Monday of the month hours are 12:00-7:00
New applicant must first take class from one of Laclede County’s approved instructors and be at least 21 years of age. You must bring your Certificate of qualification from the class, a valid Mo. Driver’s license and $100.00. It may take up to 45 days to complete your background check.
Renewals must bring a valid driver’s license and the charge is $50.00.
You may renew your license up to 60 days before expiration date, should your license expire, you will be charged $10.00 a month for each month up to 6 months at which point your license will be cancelled.
| Court Security
The Court Security Division is responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of security in the courthouse and courtrooms to protect the integrity of the court procedures, sustain the rights of the individuals before it, deter those who would take violent action against the court or participants in court procedures. Activities also include bailiff services for all residing and visiting judges, secured prisoner movement and monitoring the courthouse.
Sex Offender Registration
Sex offenders must register at the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. For a current list of sex offenders living in Laclede County please visit
Civil process service is the responsibility of all the deputies. Deputy C. Hale and Deputy D. Christman manage the civil process service for the Sheriff’s Office. Civil process service includes the service of civil summons, landlord/tenant process, child support enforcement process, criminal summons and subpoenas, garnishments and executions, etc. Sheriff’s sales of property and real estate are done by the Sheriff.
